Peru and Near death experiences

we both(alex and i) almost died twice on the trip ...and not just a simple little someone hit me with their car or i fell off a ladder story. They are intensely crazy and unreal scenarios that really did surprisingly happen

The first incident : Wilderness Horseback riding in Cusco
alex and i rented these 2 horses for a couple hours. We were not supposed to be alone but alex insisted to the guy and since he is from the country, they didnt seem to mind. In south america, i notice they dont give a crap about you haha. Im surprised they didnt make us sign our lives away. My horse bonita was cute at first but all she wanted to do was stop and eat, stop and eat, oh and steer me near cliffs. Alex horse CRAZY, he just wanted to run as fast as he possibly could. like there was a race and the world was going to end. he also was a swerver, It was like these horses were on massive amounts of booze or drugs. they were not doing their jobs well at all. Towards the end of our ride, alexs horse took him on the ride of his life. it ran so fast, i couldnt see alex on the path anymore. And Once i noticed they were gone, i saw how narrow my path was. And in that moment i had to pray. I couldnt believe these stupid horses took us so close to these cliffs. they had to be at least 100 ft high. i couldnt even look to my side or down or else i would have had a panic attack. Finally we got off the path THANK god. but alex was so far ahead , i couldnt find him at first. And then luckily, i saw him walking with the horse by his side. Apparently, he thought the horse was gonna swerve off the cliff. so he jumped off of it. Hes lucky he made it in one piece. he had a few cuts but his panic attack was probably a lot worse or else he would not have jumped off the horse. Man i will never be able to forget those horses and how crazy the whole thing was. LOL. we made it though thank god

The second incident: Bullet ants in the jungle
alex and i went on some kind of tour in the jungle WIMBA tours and we had the worst tour guide. He thought it would be funny to tell us not to wear our boots on a certain part of the trip and later led us through an ant hill. We got at least 10 bites on our feet and it was the most agonizing, excruciating pain i have ever felt in my life. it literally feels like a gun shot . at first it feels like a tiny red any bite, then it turns into the feeling of a yellow jacket bite and then it hits harder. Oh god it was painful. Anyway, everyone was laughing, even the tour guide. But 10 mins later, they saw the severity of what we were suffering. Alexs body broke out into hives . I thought maybe he just had an allergic reaction. But then he started developing a fever. We were both rushed to the hospital in the middle of the jungle on a canoe. It was like a 20 minute ride on the amazon . not to mention it was pouring rain and we were both shivering., Once we got to the little hospital, the doctor wasnt even home. It took him almost a half hour to get to us while we were hovered underneath the building. He failed to bring his keys so he had to use a ladder to climb in and break into the hospital window. Finally, they gave him an injection and his side effects went away. I felt a little dizzy later on but i just disreguarded my symptoms because they were different and werent present right away like alexs. When we got off the plane, thats when i really started getting sick. I puked outside the airport endlessly. And once we got into a hostel, i ran right to the bathroom. for 2 days, i was puking and couldnt do anything. Im so happy we survived the whole thing. WHAT A CRAZY EXPERIENCE.
